I was caregiver to my husband who battled liver cancer for a year before the disease claimed his life. It's a long hill to climb, and I am so glad you are a survivor. I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter's radiation regimen was so difficult. I know that i was very fortunate in the overall mild reactions I had to both the chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I hope that the severity of your daughter's reaction was fully addressed by her medical team and that she received every support possible(sounds like it from your positive comments about them). There is no support more important than family and I'm quite certain that, although we've never "met", that you have been there for her. I hope that she's doing well? David Hi Elizabeth

Your experiences (surgery, chemo, then radiation) followed that of my daughter who had breast cancer last year. Much was similar. But there were differences. Her skin was burned raw with the radiation and nearly became infected. We also were most impressed by the medical staff. They were professional and kind. Everything went lock-step. No long waiting periods. And Medicare covered it - no questions asked. Thank God for Medicare. We have to protect it. No back to reading.
